Eight Short Story Prompts:
1.) The Forgotten Letter - a young woman moves into an old house and discovers a letter addressed to her in one of the drawers. The letter is dated fifty years before her birth but describes events that match her current life.
2.) The Last Customer - the final customer at a small-town diner refuses to leave after closing. Instead, they tell the waitress stories that reveal dark secrets about the town.
3.) Time Traveler's Regret - a time traveler goes back in time to prevent a minor event, but they return to find the world drastically changed.
4.) The Voice in the Mirror - whenever Brendon looks in his bathroom mirror, he hears a voice that is not his own. The voice starts friendly but grows more sinister as the days pass.
5.) The Outcast's Gift - in a society where everyone has a supernatural ability, a person with no powers discovers a mysterious object...
6.) The Lighthouse Keeper - on a remote island, a lighthouse keeper receives strange radio signals. As they decipher the messages, they realise they are warnings about an impending disaster which only they can prevent.
7.) The Garden of Memories - a grieving person visits a garden said to contain memories of all who visit. Each plant represents a memory, and as they walk, they relive the days when their deceased friend lived.
8.) The Tortoise of Vienna - an extremely old artist falls in love with the woman they are painting. The artist knows that a relationship is impossible due to their age differences, so they instead secretly do thoughtful chores for the woman, such as leaving a coffee every morning. One day, however, the woman discovers the artist in the act.
