It advocates for fair wages, safe working conditions, and professional rights, providing valuable resources, contracts, and support. Spotlight is a premier casting platform that showcases professional actor profiles to casting directors, producers, and agents in the UK and beyond.
I (Dylan Day) have joined both in my efforts to find a talent agent, build my portfolio, and be perceived as a professional actor. Spotlight makes it easier to approach agents, for all your information is in one place. You can also find and apply for jobs. Equity allows an actor to easily find likeminded communities, and it offers protection against long hours, poor pay, and generally being taken advantage of in any way.
Students can get a discount on their membership, so long as their course is Performing Arts related.
