I am delighted to announce that I will be performing A in Reverse Cascade Theatre Company's debut production Clutching at Straws at Theatre41, York, on February 28th and March 1st, 2025.

Clutching at Straws is a ridiculous, rip-roaring retelling of two very normal twenty-something-year-olds and their two very normal lives. Filled with delusion, confusion, and a general obsession with noughties TV shows hosts, our protagonists' stories overlap, intermingle, and eventually meet in a sad, silly study on the perils of just getting on with it all.
I (Dylan Day) will be starring as A in 'Clutching at Straws'.
A is anxious, analytic, and precise. They have a bizarre fixation with Alistair Campbell's autobiography, to the point of hallucinating some of his interviews, and have recently undergone a series of wellness regimes to resolve their general discontentment. This involves holistic occupational therapy, yoga, and the extensive research into the gut microbiome.
I was drawn to the show because of its experimental nature. I also see the 45-minute monologue form as a challenge that will develop my skills as a performer.
Tickets are now on sale.
